Apples for the Chickens

A woman who oversees the landscaping at Franklin Park's arboretum saw me gardening, walked over to me, and mentioned that apples were available on two trees.
They were falling to the ground, and she didn't want to see them wasted - that is something I admire  Some were perfect, so we will give them away, a few I'll dehydrate for coffee-cake, and the rest are for the chickens.

Apple Huckleberry Coffee Cake

We picked four gallons of huckleberries. After processing, culling, I was able to freeze two gallons.
