Canadian Chaga for Tea
Pound it, wrapped, into a powder. Black part is OK. Heat water to boiling, turn down to simmer. Add chaga, simmer on low for at least an hour. Do not boil or steep in warm (only) water; this saves the nutrients. Some people simmer it for a day, to make a kind of tincture, very thick like syrup.

Hike Down Maple Hollow
Gathered shells along the beach, to use for a candle project. And, brought home the beautiful turkey tail fungus growing on that decaying log.

Teff-Quinoa Muffins
We're going to go out to find wood, for camping trips, today. A little rainy outside, but not cold. We'll bring a few saws and a thermos of vegetable beef soup - home-made, of course. And, pack these nutritious little muffins, made from teff flour, quinoa flour, oat flour, and flax seeds, chia seeds, hazelnut meal, and ground dock seeds. Sweetened with my dehydrated fruits - apple, pear, plum. All natural, not a packaged granola bar!
