This is what our canoe looks like now - white with teal accents. George is loading it up to go canoeing tonite with his brother.
Now, you ask, how did a lovely white canoe get .....teal green accents?
On our last paddle a few days ago we noticed a hole in the bottom of the canoe, and water was leaking into the canoe.
Fortunately, it was leaking into a sealed air compartment, so was not a problem. George got out a patch kit, and repaired the hole, adding a fresh coat of sealant over the area.
The directions to the kit indicate it is good to repaint the canoe afterwards. So, George went into the garage, found some old spray paint, and started spraying. I smelled it, and came outside. "What are you doing?"
He stopped spraying and said, "I'm spraying a new coat of paint on the canoe."
"But, its TEAL GREEEEEEEN!" I couldn't believe it.
He started to explain, when all of a sudden, the can went dry. And, there we were, with a spotted canoe. He says he will repaint it next week.
And, this is George's canoeing partner tonite - his brother, who is visiting for 5 days.
He waits all year to go canoeing, and I'm sure he doesn't mind teal green accents.
