What The World Eats

Peter Menzel features fifteen families throughout the world in the book "Hungry Planet" - what they ate and how much it cost. Photo gallery here... (this book raises a lot of questions - locally grown, cost of packaging and transport, and nutritional value.)

Hi Bonita,
Thanks for posting this book. I took it out of the library several months ago. It changed the way I think of my life and my home (apartment). People in this country get so impressed with the over-consumption of Hollywood stars. If they read this book they would discover who is really impressive in this world: people living and surviving and keeping families on nothing at all.
